INTERPRETIVE MORPHISM COLLECTION
Pareidolia is the tendencey to perceive or impose a meaningful interpretation on an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none.
For example, seeing faces or animal formations in clouds or in flames.
Suni's art allows the viewer to find images and patterns meaningful to them and she will even commission pieces with content relevant to each individual that has personalised meaning to them.
A local shoemaker wanted a striking and bold piece for her workshop that reflected her work and would allow her to stare at the image to find her own interpretations within the small lines. She said, "I love the image. I can stare at it for hours and see the finer details, even some of the details that I have put on my shoes, like stars, music notes, birds and flowers. It's amazing, i am sure I find something new every time. I even squealed when I found my name embedded between some lines."
Suni Samara started her career as a teacher in her early twenties. She moved on to writing her debut novel, The Invisible Cage, pending publication, and has written three potential screenplays adapted from the novel.
Suni is also with a national modelling agency.
Suni has been creating stories and artwork since she was five and now feels it's time to share her artwork with the world.
Her first exhibition is at The Big Art Show at The Art Department Paisley, between 31st August and November 18th 2023.
